New program for women's entrepreneurship - What sectors does it cover?

The launch of the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) program, which supports women entrepreneurs in the agrifood sector in Greece, was announced by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology-Food Sector (EIT Food) and the Industry Disruptors Game Changers (IDGC), in collaboration with the Future Agro Challenge initiative.

The program is aimed at female entrepreneurs or owners of a business idea working in the agri-food sector. It is an idea accelerator that already counts three years of implementation in Europe with huge success in the previous cycles, while in Greece it operates for the second consecutive year in order to support ten (10) women with personalized training, networking and financing.

Industry Disruptors continue to prioritize the creation of an extroverted ecosystem in the agri-food sector that encourages and highlights innovative entrepreneurship on a global scale. In this context, they are implementing this specific project for the second year and offer women who are interested in a career in this industry, networking opportunities as well as the necessary resources for the development of their business ideas.

The beneficiaries of the program will be a total of ten (10) and will have the opportunity to receive intensive guidance, tailored to their needs, from experts in the field of business and agri-food, to participate in entrepreneurship and networking events at both national and European level as well as claim total funding of up to 15,000 euros. Applications will remain open until June 13.
