The Mediterranean Agrofood Competence Center (MACC), from Heraklion Crete, innovates on the threshold of 2023

With innovations in agri-food products and new perspectives for 2023, the Mediterranean Agrofood Competence Center, just in its first year of operation, held its first Extraordinary General Assembly of its partners, in a very positive atmosphere, on Monday 19/12/2022 at the Technical Schools of Heraklion Chamber of Commerce.

With a statutory quorum, Dr. Michael Katharakis, as MACC's manager, demonstrated the dynamics of the newly established company, introducing 13 new members to the scheme, from the business and scientific world, presenting the first two integrated innovative products:

The sheep's wool fertilizer

The smart agriculture system based on LoraWAN (Wireless Sensor Network, using the LoRaWAN protocol, for crop monitoring).

MACC as a lever for the development of sustainable agri-food entrepreneurship


During the meeting, 30 new capabilities (investment products) in development were presented, and the AGM unanimously decided to increase the company's share capital.


The AGM was chaired by Elias Didaskalou and co-founder of Anastasiadis Group Property Advisors, partner of MACC and the main panel also included Economist Gregory Kokolakis.
